Each month we focus on one paint pouring technique. And there are plenty to choose from.
It might be one of the core techniques, a more advanced technique, or one of the more unusual techniques. Every technique is fun and offers something new to learn.
Here's a look at the weekly content that we cover inside The Pouring Studio Membership each month.
Technique Walkthrough
The first week of the month is the technique walkthrough. You'll see some example paintings, and learn exactly what paint mixing formula, consistency, and other tools you might need to create the chosen technique. You can also download printable resources specific to the monthly technique.
Demo Night
In the second week You'll learn variations of our chosen technique. There are often multiple ways to modify paint pouring techniques. This week is all about learning how to manipulate the technique in different ways.
Demo Night 2
In the third week, we'll learn some more variations of the chosen technique.
Plus, we'll have a Q&A session where I'll answer any questions you might have about the technique or other paint pouring problems.
Studio Chat
The fourth week is our Studio Chat. A variety of different topics are covered in the Studio Chat. Sometimes they apply directly to the monthly technique. But other times they apply to acrylic pouring in general. Color Theory, Composition, Varnishing, Elements of Design, and Color Mixing are examples of topics you'll learn in the monthly Studio Chat.
Monthly Art Show
This is fun. Each month you can submit a painting to the art show through the private members-only Facebook group or in the membership community. You'll be able to share your paintings with the other members and have a chance to win prizes. It's a fun way to encourage you to paint and share your paintings in our warm and encouraging membership.
Friday Pouring Demo
Every Friday you can watch a live paint pouring demonstration. The demo may or may not be the technique of the month. But oftentimes the demo will be experimental in some way. A new color palette, a twist on a standard technique. It will always be unique and a lot of fun. And your questions are always encouraged.
